Currently our Wyndham Vale clinic has a growing caseload of preschool and school aged clients, between the ages of 3-12 years who have support needs and are looking for a highly motivated practitioner (Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist or Psychologist) who enjoys working in paediatrics to support them. This role can be suitable to anyone who wants the flexibility to work from home and on any days and times of the week or for someone who would like a full-time, permanent position. The choice is yours. Key Responsibilities include: Independently manage a caseload of clients across the lifespan Complete initial assessments to establish goals for therapy and the need for formal assessments and reports. Complete formal assessments and reports where required. Complete NDIS Outcome Reports, Support Letters and Functional Assessment Reports Complete capacity building/education sessions with parents to empower them to be able to better support their children at home. Liaise with and provide information to a range of stakeholders such as teachers, schools, other clinicians, child protection services, parents, caregivers, support workers etc. Provide neurodivergent affirming and relationship-based therapy. Complete timely, formal case notes Participate in care team meetings and advocate for your client’s support needs. Provide supervision and develop therapy plans for Allied Health Assistants (not essential) Plan and run group therapy sessions with other clinicians. Ensure that client files are maintained and managed in accordance with National PEKE Centre policy and procedures. Meet a minimum billing target of 5 hours per day, 25hrs per week. Maintain professional development through access to current literature, education programs, supervision programs and special interest groups. To excel in this position, you will have the following skills: Bachelor in your field of practice (or higher) Current registration in your field of practice Active police check and working with children check with the ability to acquire a NDIS Worker Screening Check Driver’s license and access to a vehicle A passion for working with vulnerable members of your community. Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills. The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment. CPR training undertaken within the past three years or willingness to participate in training. Have the right to work in Australia or be eligible for such. NDIS and Paediatric experience will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be joining a team of diverse disciplines. As a fully qualified practitioner, you will receive a billable hourly fee based on your level of experience working as a contractor or a competitive slary package if you will be joining us full time based on the health and support services award.
