We are seeking to hire a full-time Construction Manager to join our team. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate residential commercial construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget Determine and define project scope and objectives Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner Plan, prepare, and submit construction project budget estimates based on scope of work, resource requirements, schedules and milestones Monitor construction schedules and milestones and budget targets to align with company revenue objectives Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors Develop and implement quality control programs by establishing management systems, testing, remediation and maintenance Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and staff in the management and implementation of multiple construction projects. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution Qualifications Bachelor's and Master’s degree in civil engineering At least 10 years of residential commercial project management experience Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices Well versed in: AutoCad, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Proven ability to solve problems creatively Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Management and leadership skills Work Setting Commercial residential, commercial and publicly funded construction projects Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking Ability to Supervise Working groups; SubContractors; Staff in various areas of responsibility Work Location Information Greater Toronto Area Wage: $30-40/hour; 30-40 hours/week Benefits package offered (if applicable) TO APPLY: If you have the skills and experience required for this position, please forward your resume to:
