Rare Opportunity to Join our Team: Reporting to the Head of Finance the emphasis of this role is to provide critical daily financial and strategic information for our commercial and operational business units to support the continued growth and success of Mountain Goat Beer. The role of the Finance Manager is "hands on" in the daily operations and requires significant business partnering and support to both internal and external stakeholders within the direct & broader business. Note: this position is also the lead Finance Business Partner with Green Beacon Brewing (based in Brisbane) and as such provides an excellent growth opportunities for the right candidate. Finance Business Partnering: • Sales Business Partner - Assisting the Head of Sales and broader sales team through the preparation and review of Daily Sales Reporting, Month End sales packs including VPO and distribution tracking, preparation of SIP tracking and reporting. • Marketing Business Partner - Assisting the Head of Marketing and broader marketing team through providing monthly cost tracking of DMI spend (SAP & MYOB), assist in the review monthly AP to ensure appropriate allocation of marketing spend and prepaid events and sponsorship arrangements. • Brewing/Supply Chain Business Partner – Supporting the Head Brewer and Head of Finance with CAPEX and R&M requests, work closely with broader brewing team in relation to raw materials and inventory builds. • Logistics Business Partner - Support Head of Finance and Logistics analyst with all sales, inventory movements and stock collections, liaise with 3PLs where appropriate and have an understanding of how the 3PLs software operates (Carton Cloud) • Hospitality Business Partner - Support Venue Managers through consistent review of bar performance, preparation of month end packs and running of month end meetings, preparation, review and lodgement of fortnightly casual timesheets, support with accounting and IT software systems (Kounta, Deputy and Booking software). • Green Beacon Brewing Co. Lead Finance Business Partner with GM and Finance support at Green Beacon. Scope to lead Performance Review meetings; consolidation of results; production of the performance pack; all budgeting and forecasting; invoice approvals. • This role is also the go-to finance person for Green Beacon providing key insights and commentary around opportunities with support from the Head of Finance. Financial Accounting, Reporting & Analysis: • Ensure all monthly deadlines are met in line with the Finance calendar, including the preparation of the month end Consolidated P&L • Complete and review month end Balance Sheet results including Fixed Asset register maintenance (Bank reconciliations, Interco transactions and loans, IFRS16, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Register, Inventory) • Review of balance sheet reconciliations accounts prepared by broader finance team • Planning the development and completion of the annual budgeting, quarterly & monthly planning process gaining input and alignment with the Asahi Commercial Finance team • Assist the Head of Finance with the implementation of standardised processes and procedures • Monthly management reporting, providing key insights and commentary around opportunities • Development of best practice forecasting and budgeting reports and tools • Present information in a useful and insightful way for multiple stakeholders, tailoring information to suit the audience, including the month end reporting pack and hospitality month end reporting packs • Manage Casual Payroll submissions and ensure compliance is met with HIGA award wages Statutory/Compliance: • Excise Tax- Prepare and lodge weekly excise tax returns with the ATO through consolidation of data from direct and 3PL stock movements, ensure all excise licences are current and relevant to operations, ensure all continuous movement permissions have been approved and recorded on our CMP licence, maintain relationships with the ATO excise tax team, prepare and lodge excise tax refunds and remissions where relevant. • BAS/IAS/GST/PAYG - Prepare and lodge Quarterly Business Activity Statements and Monthly Instalment Activity statements through the ATO portal • FBT - Provide Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) related transactions for FBT return, FBT pack to be provided to Asahi tax team • Payroll Tax - Prepare monthly payroll tax template and provide to Asahi tax team, prepare and lodge payroll tax returns by State (QLD, WA, VIC, NSW) • Container Deposit Schemes - Prepare and lodge CDS returns on portal, add new products to portal (VIC, QLD, NSW, SA, NT) • Payroll - Review, prepare and lodge MG Casual Payroll to Asahi Payroll team. Review and manage HIGA award and ensure that award wages are being paid correctly and applied by Venue Managers • Liaise with the Internal Audit Team to develop an audit timetable and be a key contact throughout the entire audit process, ensure all audit requirements are met within a timely manner • Income Tax - Support Asahi tax team with income tax provision requests Systems & Software: • Accounting & Reporting System knowledge: MYOB Advanced, SAP, PowerBI, Qlik sense, Microsoft Office and SharePoint • Provide General IT Support to broader team The successful applicant will require: · Strong attention to detail. · A team player, who thrives working as part of a close-knit team. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · A positive proactive attitude!
