WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE IN THE ROLE With a focus on business partnering, you will collate a diverse range of financial information, reports, and data in alignment with standards, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements. Maintaining the integrity of financial data including budgets and forecasts will be one of your primary responsibilities. This includes preparing journals, financial transactions, and invoices, identifying anomalies, and rectifying in a timely manner. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, your commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused financial support services will empower our University community. Building positive working relationships within the University, you'll ensure staff are well-informed of their financial responsibilities and compliance with documentation requirements. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE With a degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, you are an enthusiastic financial professional eager to advance your career. You will be supported with a professional pathway program should you wish to pursue additional studies toward obtaining the Charter of Professional Accounting (CPA) or Chartered Accounting (CA) qualification. You bring a proven ability to review and analyse data, prepare reports with attention to detail, and clearly communicate a variety of financial and non-financial information. Working with budgets and forecasts, you will partner with business leaders to provide financial advice and information for decision-making. Demonstrated experience in a finance business partner role, or the development and communication of financial information will be highly regarded. Your customer service skills will shine as you manage high volumes of inquiries with confidentiality and discretion in a timely and professional manner. Your organisational and problem-solving skills will be evident as you identify and assist with the implementation of business process improvement initiatives. Proficiency in computer literacy including the Microsoft Suite and corporate accounting applications, ensures your readiness for the technological aspects of the role.
