Benefits Pulled from the full job description • Company pension • Dental care • Disability insurance • Employee assistance program • Extended health care • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision care Full job description Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent, Probationary Period Reporting to: Chief Internal Auditor, Internal Audit Department Location: Richmond Hill Responsibilities • Participate in audit project preparation stage: audit planning, confirmation of scope, preliminary discussion with auditees, etc. • Conduct audit fieldwork, including but not limited to process walkthroughs, writing audit work programs, perform sample testing, accurately identifying control gaps and appropriately describing the related risks of issues identified. • Collect sufficient supporting documents, prepare working papers, actively participate in the process of identifying potential findings, drafting conclusions, revise and update paper work in a timely manner, and ensure completeness/accuracy of all the working papers/documentations. • Assist in preparation of initial draft for internal audit reports, facilitating discussions with process owners to develop action plans and follow up on management actions within committed timelines and validating remediation actions, wherein applicable, taken by management and immediately escalating any significant issues identified without waiting for final report issuance. • Other tasks as per requested. Requirements • 3 years audit experience mainly focused in the credit risk area. • Experience in commercial real estate audit is an asset. • Willing to learn new things in a challenging environment. Concentrated and well organized. • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and a high degree of interpersonal skills. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. English as an official working language. Language skills in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an add-on asset. • Proficiency in computer skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Risk Management, Finance or related field. • Professional certifications like CIA, CAMS, CPA etc. would be an asset.
