Your Role: This position is based in our Head Office in Alexandria with working-from-home flexibility. Our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant who will be owning the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, COGS and period end closure. This team member should be able to work independently, have great communication skills and a continuous improvement focus. The position requires a skilled multi-tasker, who is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be fully responsible for the following: Invoice validation against supplier statements before importing to Xero Weekly Supplier reconciliation and follow-up with any variances (10+ suppliers) Weekly AP Payment run for multi-entities Respond to AP queries Manual entry of 50+ invoices into the system per week Ad hoc Accounts Receivables COGS reconciliation between Power BI, P/L and inventory system Period end tasks (e.g. accruals) Balance Sheet reconciliations Assist in Fortnight Payroll Any ad hoc tasks required by Finance Manager Selection Criteria: The candidate must meet the following criteria: CPA/CA qualified or partly qualified 5 years’+ experience in similar role Fast Food industry experience preferred Australian payroll experience preferred but not required Experience in Xero software Proficiency in Excel (e.g. XLOOKUP, Pivot, SUMIFS, Power Query, Power BI etc.) Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent work management skills Renumeration: This is a permanent full-time position with the annual salary being commensurate with experience.
