Role Title: Database Administrator What responsibilities will you have? The Database Administrator role includes responsibility for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases within on premises and cloud architectures. As part of the Database Services Group, the role includes the development and design of Databases solutions, migration of databases to cloud environments, transforming workload and the opportunity to utilise cloud native database systems. What skills & experience are we looking for? Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills 3-5 years of Core DBA Skills across a core database flavour (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or NOSQL equivalents) including areas such as: Database Architecture Design Database Installation, Configuration and Patching Backup and Recovery, Data Import/Export Technologies Automation Database Performance Tuning Monitoring Platforms Problem diagnoses, manageability and operations Preferred Skills: Experience in a cloud environment Data Replication, Database Security, Encryption, Compression and Data Masking/Redaction Migration and Consolidation planning and execution High Availability, MAA and Disaster Recovery and replication Very large databases and in-memory database solutions Data replication software (GoldenGate, kafka etc) Due to the secure nature of the role, Australian citizens with a federal government security clearance will be preferred Benefits of working at Accenture: Holistic well-being program including health insurance Life & Salary Continuance Insurance 18 weeks paid parental leave Long & short-term career break opportunities Structured career development program Local and international career opportunities.
