We're excited to offer this is a brand-new role where, with the guidance of a part-time Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the finance function within the company. Day-to-day this is a hands-on role; running our business accounts function; accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions along with other administration duties relating to the smooth running of our financials. As the team grows, you may gain responsibility for a small accounts administration team. About Allied Therapy Services Allied Therapy Services is a private allied health service providing occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech pathology services in people’s homes and local community. You can find our 65+ strong team of therapists spread across the Albury-Wodonga, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Warrnambool and Western Melbourne regions. Our back-of-house team are based in a bright and airy office space just out of central Geelong (hello parking!) You'll work day-to-day alongside other Allied Therapy Services back of house functions, our CEO, Operations Manager, Clinical Director and plus get to know the Geelong-based therapy team (they don't bite, promise!). About your new role  As the accountant at Allied Therapy Services, your day could include:  Working on the day-to-day finance administration responsibilities for the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general administrative duties. Overseeing the fortnightly Payroll and related responsibilities such as time sheet reporting, travel allowances, monthly PAYG and superannuation reporting. Completing monthly financial reporting. Preparing weekly cashflow forecasting. Reviewing weekly banking reconciliations. Preparing and lodgment of monthly BAS, IAS and Payroll Tax. Credit card reconciliations. Performing balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations. Analysis and reporting of departmental operations. Preparing of year-end financial reports. Role requirements Bachelor Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) 2-3 years in a similar role (if you're aspiring to do your CPA, that is very desirable!) Excellent organisation and time management skills Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills Processing accuracy and attention to detail The ability to work autonomously but also you enjoy working as part of a team! Effective communication and interpersonal skills Competent in the use of cloud-based computer applications, including Xero Strong Microsoft Excel skills A positive and proactive approach to your work Adaptability to change in your role as the business continues to expand.
