Overview of Role An opportunity has become available for a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to join the team at our Preston manufacturing plant, operating 6x24. Managing a small maintenance team this position reports to the Preston Site Manager. The Maintenance & Engineering Manager will be responsible for: • Team leadership and deployment with a strong focus on talent and capability • Leadership and support in safe work practices. • Drive maintenance and reliability initiatives focused on preventive & predictive maintenance • Establishing and managing R&M material and labour budgets • Supervising maintenance personnel, work planning and scheduling. • Spare parts inventory management using CMMS (MEX). • Support site CI programme and ensure maintenance areas meet 5S standards • Managing contractors • Project management as required • Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures. To be successful in this role you will ideally: • Be an excellent communicator with good people skills • Challenging the status quo and seeking opportunities to continually improve • Tertiary or Trade qualified with extensive experience in all aspects of this discipline • Project Management Skills • Flexible packaging industry experience an advantage but not essential • Be self-motivated and results orientated • Have a sound knowledge of OH&S • Familiar with GMP & HACCP requirements • Experience in 5S an advantage • Have a hands-on work approach This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a world leading organisation.
