We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and we are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to join our team. Job Overview: As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of our engineering department including the construction of liquid biofertilizer plants nationally. You will ensure the successful execution of construction projects and the continuous improvement of processes. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the engineering department. Manage a team of consulting engineers and technicians. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback. Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from conception to completion. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary. Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Identify and resolve operational issues and bottlenecks. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget. Allocate resources effectively to meet project and operational needs. Monitor and control costs to stay within budget. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and procurement. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and vendors. Prepare and present reports on engineering activities and performance. Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with company policies and industry standards. Implement and maintain quality control procedures. Oversee the testing and validation of products and processes. Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks. Ensure that all engineering activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering technologies and advancements. Provide technical guidance and support to the management team. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools. Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure the best terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department. Align engineering goals with overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Required Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Proven experience in a construction (and preferably process) engineering management role Strong operational management skills Excellent leadership and team management abilities Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Agricultural, Chemical or Food Industry sector Knowledge of building and planning permits Benefits: Competitive salary and bonus structure FMCV or car allowance Opportunity for ESOP Professional development opportunities Flexible work arrangements
