We are currently looking for a financial assistant to work with our Sydney team, assisting with financial functions such as payroll, customer and subcontractor invoicing and accounts payable $80,000 pa + Super The ideal candidate would have the following: 1-2 years of experience with accounting systems, preferably Xero. 2-5 years of experience with payroll systems, preferably Employment Hero. Intermediate Excel skills. Bookkeeping or accounting degree. Duties would include: Accounts Receivable Raise customer invoices in Xero, check product information, approve, and send invoices to customers. Reconcile customer deposits in Xero and CRM. Conduct debt collection and follow-up on customer payments. Process customer payments via finance vendors (Brighte/Plenti) the day after solar installation. Provide weekly AR reporting. Subcontractor Invoicing Provide resellers with a breakdown of payable customers each week. Approve and send invoices to accounts for payment weekly. Update Master Sales Tracker with payment weekend date. Manage invoices inbox and file emails once actioned. STC reconciliation (Small Technology Certificates) Ensuring all relevant documents are uploaded and all information is correct Submit STC claim for each customer within 24 hours of install Payroll: Process weekly payroll for permanent and casual employees. Process payroll journal to the relevant account and allocate costs to the correct function and state. Manage payroll inbox. Process weekly and monthly bonuses. Provide weekly payroll reporting. Key Competencies: Good knowledge of the solar industry or willingness to learn. Self-motivated with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload. Focus on customer service. Good initiative and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information. Smart appearance and professional manner. Ability to work with KPIs and targets. Fluency in reading and writing English.
