Full job description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design and oversee our mechanical and process plant operations. This role involves enhancing system efficiency and ensuring all processes align with our goals for cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Analyse project details, organizational structures, and functional statements to optimize team responsibilities and prevent overlap. Implement and refine work measurement programs, studying labour utilization to set standards for efficiency. Enhance equipment and workforce efficiency by analysing data on facility layouts, operational costs, and production schedules. Design and develop mechanical equipment, machines, and components, focusing on sustainable and cost-effective manufacturing and construction solutions. Specify materials, equipment, and layouts for plant systems, ensuring optimal integration and material flow. Manage project resources, including labour coordination and material, plant, and equipment delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and specifications. Establish and enforce standards for installation, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance, following best engineering practices and safety protocols. Regularly inspect plant operations to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to standards. Direct ongoing maintenance of plant infrastructure and equipment, coordinating new design implementations, surveys, and maintenance schedules. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and a commitment to sustainable engineering practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
