We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing, fully supported and truly multi-disciplined engineering team where you will be given your own portfolio of projects with all the responsibility that comes with each. The role will be varied and challenging, requiring a confident and experienced Mechanical Engineer often drawing on first principles to develop complex machines for unforgiving environments. This role will also require you to travel for short periods to various client sites. It is an opportunity to work on rewarding projects with the possibility of advancement to Senior Mechanical Engineer and/or Product Specialist. About the Role Decisively manage your portfolio of current and future projects from proposal sketch to site commissioning. Develop, optimise and verify designs to relevant standards via calculation from first principles & FEA. Develop solutions in collaboration with the Design team to meet relevant standards, schedules and manufacturing techniques. Control documents and information from/to clients/projects team relative to your portfolio VDDR. Liaise with clients, sales, management, engineering, design, controls & automation, estimating, aftermarket, procurement, vendors, quality and workshop personnel as required. Help to enhance processes and procedures within the Engineering and Design teams. About You A degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university Thorough understanding of Mechanics Effortless problem solving skills with root cause analysis Ability to make and defend decisions, often with limited information. Desire to travel to site.
