WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? • Prototype software ideas for evaluation • Convert algorithms and technical specifications into software • Design, implement, debug existing and new software • Support, maintain and document software functionality • Perform software testing and quality assurance • Review feasibility of requirements • Perform estimation of development effort • Conduct performance analysis • Conduct design & code reviews • Evaluate and identify new technologies • Problem solving and troubleshooting • Provide mentoring of graduate software developers • Provide technical guidance and leadership to development team/s WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Skills Expectation • Solid understanding of coding principles • Comfortable to work individually and in a team environment • Strong attention to detail • Analyse project risks in early stages and find solutions • Ability to learn new technologies quickly • Clear verbal communication skills for sharing ideas and leading discussions • Create excitement within your team to inspire ideas and create a collaborative environment • Desire to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships • Minimum 6 years experience as a software developer Essential requirements • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent • 5+ years experience • Live in South Australia or willing to relocate • Be an AUSTRALIAN citizen (non-citizens are unable to be considered due to the nature of our work) • Be eligible and willing to obtain an Australian Government security clearance and retain that clearance while employed by Ebor Systems • Willingness to travel within Australia and overseas if needed Desirable requirements • Have an existing Australian Government clearance • Experience with C++ (17 or later), RUST, Java, MongoDB, Python, MATLAB/Octave • Web background - Typescript/Javascript, Angular, Vue, React • Software architecture experience • An understanding of Agile and/or Scrum • Maths programming • Familiarity with DSP or radio e.g. GNU Radio • HF experience • Hardware integration experience WHAT CAN WE GIVE YOU?
