Our client is a rapidly expanding specialist utilities contractor gaining an excellent reputation in WA with the use of the latest technology, especially within the water sector. Due to a massive increase in their current workload on Perth's current and upcoming infrastructure projects, including Metronet, they have an immediate requirement for an experienced high performing Senior Project Engineer with 3 yrs+ experience to join their busy water services division. This is a permanent role and applicants will ideally be able to demonstrate previous WaterCorp project experience on projects with values from $1m - $5m+. This role will be suited to someone with current or previous WaterCorp experience who can demonstrate successful management and delivery of projects while managing and directing fields staff but also has a cool head in client facing negotiations should it be EOT, variations or just weaving your way through red tape and corporate responsibilities with management contractors and clients alike. These projects will cover various aspects of the water sector including, but not limited to, upgrades, new installations, service locating. With their current workload and tender success, they can offer you ongoing employment, however, with their ongoing tendering and exceptional track record in the water sector they are confident this will be a long term relationship with ongoing career advancement opportunities as the company grows. Due to the size and nature of our clients’ projects candidates with a 2nd or large 3rd tier specialist contracting background would be most suited, but must have WaterCorp experience to hit the ground running. To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following: Tertiary / Degree educated in civil engineering WaterCorp project delivery experience for a contractor NOT client side Tier 2 or large tier 3 experience advantageous 3-4 yrs project experience with a recognised contractor Underground utilities / tunnelling / HDD experience advantageous Perth Metro experience desirable Excellent man management & client facing skills essential Ability to work on own initiative Computer literate
