We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced accounts professional to join our team based at our Head Office in Bayswater, Victoria. We aim to start the right Applicant as soon as possible. What is the main role? This role is primarily focused on Accounts Payable to assist with all data entry for our creditor purchase invoices through to reconciling, as well as support for Accounts Receivable including processing debtor sales invoices and other general accounting functions as required. Accounts Payable: Processing Supplier Invoices approx. 50-60 invoices per day Reconcile supplier statements Analyse, identify and resolve invoice-related issues Supplier database management within 2 systems Management of subcontractor files, insurances & licences etc. Reconciliation of credit card statements and expenses Electronic filing of all account’s documentation Follow up account queries via phone and email Accounts Receivable: Processing sales invoices via our internal management system Analyse, identify and resolve invoice-related issues Customer database management within 2 systems Management of our insurances with our clients Credit card payments Debt collections Answer account queries via phone and email Accounts General: Assist with the day-to-day duties of the Accounts department Other ad-hoc administration and accounts processes as required What skills and knowledge do you need? Intermediate level of experience required in: Accounts Payable - Minimum 5 years’ experience Accounts Receivable - Some previous experience required Xero Accounting Software or similar Accounting Principles Microsoft Office in particular Excel You will also need to possess: Proven track record in a similar role Accuracy & attention to detail Good analytical & problem-solving skills Effective & confident communication skills both written & verbal Excellent planning, organisation & time management skills Ability to work independently & unsupervised Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet company deadlines Proactive attitude Professional Integrity Confidence in your work Ideas & innovation for better processes Curiosity, question the status quo Drivers Licence Must be an Australian Resident Not required but highly favoured: Construction Industry experience High Volume Accounts Environment What we can offer you: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Full-time, permanent role Supportive and fun workplace culture Job Security Good career development with further career opportunities Be an active player in our growth strategy An attractive remuneration package is on offer (based on experience) Immediate start
