We are looking to grow our Finance team with a part time Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager by accurately recording and reconciling transactions related to company expenditures such as supplier invoices, staff expenses, software subscriptions, and travel. This part-time position requires 10-15 hours of work per week Qualifications & experience We are seeking applications from an experienced Assistant Accountant who has 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping, assistant accountant or accounts payable role This is an office based role in North Sydney, however it comes with flexibility on days and hours worked to suit you, between Monday to Thursday – 9-5pm Proficient user of XERO, Excel and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Tasks & responsibilities Reconcile transactions made using the company Mastercard and Weel virtual Visa card. Ensure all expenditures are substantiated with corresponding paper or digital receipts. Verify and allocate each transaction to the appropriate account in XERO. Maintain a systematic process for collecting and verifying receipts from stakeholders. Identify and address discrepancies in payment records and receipt documentation. Reconcile travel expenses against travel budgets Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt submission and accurate expense reporting Entering supplier invoices Create Australian and International Payments Bank Reconciliations – Australian and Foreign Currency accounts Benefits An amazing and dynamic culture; we genuinely care and love the people that work in our team!
