We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work at our main production facility in Welshpool. This position is permanent full-time, with an immediate start available. The person we are looking for is a design driven, forward thinking engineer, that loves to think outside the box while we continually improve our product range for our global clients. Join a closeknit team of driven engineers, to come up with unique offerings for our clients, which incorporate the latest technology! Tasks & responsibilities Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide technical design solutions. Prepare mechanical and structural engineering designs for mobile and fixed communications equipment and infrastructure. Managing product reviews to help our continuous improvement. Technical problem-solving. Preparing project documentation and reports Commissioning and factory inspection planning and attendance. Wind loading modelling and stress calculations. Prepare designs using AutoDesk Inventor. Attending client sites to conduct investigations, client liaison, testing and commissioning. Ideally you will have: A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering recognised by Institute of Engineers Australia Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as you will be communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders. An ability to work within a flexible and fast-paced team environment. Potential to develop strong interpretative and analytical skills.
