We are currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join a highly talented group of professionals involved in the design and construction of mineral processing, hydrometallurgical and materials handling projects in Australia and overseas. Education and Experience: Industry related higher education degree. 4 years plus minerals process plant design experience. Engineering delivery experience including development of technical datasheets, specifications, equipment lists, and related calculations. Experience with mining processing plants including wet / hydrometallurgical process plant is preferred. Ability to work in team environment. Skills and Abilities: High level communication skills – written and verbal. Takes ownership of work. Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow up. Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment. Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Experience with mechanical calculations for conveyors, pumps and other minerals processing systems is desirable. Willingness to gain on-site experience during construction and commissioning is preferred. Core Duties and Responsibilities: Develop mechanical engineering deliverables including equipment datasheets, specifications, calculations, and plant layout and design. Evaluating, managing and documentation review of vendor equipment packages. Review mechanical drawings and 3D models with the drafting teams.
