About The Role: Based in our Melbourne office and reporting to the Group Director, you will be responsible for delivering application and development projects, both small and large scale, for specialty chemicals, application equipment and development, and commercial development projects across various countries. You will manage all project components, including local product managers, suppliers, contractors, to ensure deliverables meet business strategy and commercial plans. Additionally, you will provide engineering support, assist with technical calculations and feasibility studies, and support the sales teams in understanding customer requirements and developing innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead total project management of application equipment and development, and commercial development projects across various countries. Provide engineering support and technical expertise throughout project lifecycle. Conduct technical calculations and feasibility studies as needed. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion. Develop project plans, return on investment, budget, and schedule. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Identifying and mitigating risks, conducting design reviews, and obtaining technical sign off from management. Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and resource allocation. Developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment. Ensure all engineering projects comply with relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and standards in the country of operation. Develop and implement safety management plans for engineering projects, including risk assessments, HAZOP and control measures. Monitor and enforce safety procedures on-site, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel involved in the project. Requirements: University degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering. Proven experience in project engineering and project management. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar industry preferred. Exposure to project budgeting and costing. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to travel frequently - domestically and internationally. Excellent PC skills MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication skills. A pragmatic approach to systems and procedures. An entrepreneurial approach to new opportunities. Ability to make quick decisions.
