Position Overview We are seeking a versatile and creative CAD Designer with experience in structural, mechanical, or product design, and extensive knowledge of SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent customer engagement skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Position Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a CAD Designer. Software Proficiency: Extensive knowledge and proficiency in SolidWorks/CAD Designer programs. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various design challenges and projects. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all design work. Customer Engagement: Strong ability to engage and communicate with customers effectively. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Key Responsibilities Adhere to Client Specifications: Document designs to meet client requirements. Regulatory Compliance: Understand and follow statutory requirements applicable to design and manufacturing. Project Documentation: Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare designs. Stakeholder Consultation: Consult with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Custom Design Solutions: Create and design custom solutions tailored to specific client needs. 3D CAD Design: Utilize SolidWorks for all 3D CAD design tasks. Design Solution Studies: Conduct studies to develop design solutions and manage client expectations and delivery dates. Mechanical, Structural, and Sheet Metal Design: Engage in mechanical, structural, and sheet metal design projects. End-to-End Design: Manage the design process from initial concept through to completion. Documentation: Document all designs to facilitate manufacture and production. Standards Compliance: Design in accordance with Australian standards. BOM Management and Quality Control: Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) management and quality control aspects of designated projects. Process Improvement: Implement process changes and continuous improvements to designs. Reporting: Regularly report to the Design Manager. Benefits Weekly Pay: Receive your salary on a weekly basis.
