The Pines Long Term Care Home is currently recruiting for a Cleaner The Pines The Pines is located in Bracebridge, Ontario and is owned and operated by the District Municipality of Muskoka. The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, the Cleaner maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility by cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas following established policies and procedures. What You Will Do: • Using specified cleaning agents and following procedures performs tasks such as: sweeping vacuuming, wet/dry mopping, stripping/waxing, sanitizing/disinfecting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, mirrors, fixtures, handrails, doors and doorknobs, sinks, toilets, counters, etc. Complete daily / weekly / bi-weekly/ monthly /annual cleaning routines including spot cleaning, high/ low dusting, carbolize beds, isolation cleaning and discharge cleaning routines. What You Will Need: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Previous cleaning in a commercial or health care setting would be an asset plus on-the- job orientation and training of up to 3 months. Completed police record check, including vulnerable sector screening What We Are Offering This is a Permanent Part-time Opportunity at the District. The hourly compensation range for this role is $22.16 – $23.33.
