In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge in promoting healthy lower limbs and preventing foot complications for our clinic's valued patients. Our state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped with modern amenities, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care. Position: Independent Contract Advanced Foot Care Nurse (Part-time, potential for full-time hours) Compensation: Competitive Pay Plan Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of lower limbs and feet, tailoring individualized treatment plans. Knowledge of wound care, lower limb circulatory diseases, and diabetes management considered a strong asset Cutting and filing of nails and Gentle feet massage, Softening and buffing of corns and calluses * * Administer appropriate treatments within the scope of nursing practice. Accurately document all assessments and treatments in the clinic's system. Collaborate with fellow healthcare practitioners within the clinic and provide referrals as needed. Uphold IPAC best practices and guidelines during care and treatments. Maintain meticulous sterilization of foot care instruments and tools. Experience working with cognitively impaired and high-risk residents and Excellent clinical and communication skills Must have their own tools and sterilization equipment i.e autoclave) Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Current, in-good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Professional Liability insurance (e.g., RNAO, WeRPN, CNPS). Advanced Nursing Foot Care certificate is mandatory. Knowledge of wound care, lower limb circulatory diseases, and diabetes management is advantageous. Proficiency in both written and oral English communication. Strong time management and interpersonal skills. Experience in report writing and making referrals. Ability to thrive within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records systems. * We Offer: Part-time, Permanent, and Casual positions available. Part-time hours: 20 hours per week. Competitive salary: $30.00-$60.00 per hour. Day shift, Monday to Friday work schedule. Additional commission-based pay opportunities.
