They are seeking a experienced Accounts Payable professional in a stimulating, varied role The Role Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, the Accounts Payable Specialist will provide expert assistance to the Finance and Accounting Division to ensure that all the company and subsidiaries disbursements and receipts are correctly coded, process and paid. Your duties will include but not be limited to:- Assisting the process of preparation of cash forecasts and maintain contacts with the banks to the extent required to perform the AP functions. Maintaining the knowledge of internal control process and ensure AP tasks are performed in line with the agreed internal control process. Performing assigned month end tasks including month end accruals. Preparing and maintain adequate GL reconciliations and organise them for managers review. Assisting in coordinate necessary approval and process Joint Venture cash call requirements. Data entry of all payments and receipts including manual cash disbursements and cash receipts including review them for accuracy. .Liaise with other commercial divisions to ensure they are supported with System related queries in relation to supplier payments and receipts. Regular bank reconciliations within the accounting system to ensure all the cash transactions are accounted for timely manner. Preparing Electronic Fund transfer for the authorised approvers including supporting information About You As an Accounts Payable professional with plans to attain or are currently embarked upon studies which will grant you access to a professional accounting body. You will be required to engage with stakeholders, including peers, superiors and external providers, understand and use input from a range of sources, and articulate meaningful and well-constructed recommendations. Therefore the ability to juggle multiple priorities, problem solve and act proactively is an essential requirement of the position. Skills & Experience Relevant experience in accounts payable working with daily cash operations in a corporate environment, and exposure to accounting concepts; Previous experience using ERP system desirable Sound understanding of corporate accounting systems and procedures; and Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Excel.
