About the Role Live Payments is seeking an Assistant Accountant to play a key role as we enter the next growth phase of the business. Reporting to our Financial Accountant, you will support our Finance team in day-to-day finance activities. This role presents a unique opportunity that balances start-up and scale-up, where you can make a big impact from day one in shaping foundations and driving growth. The impact you will have/core responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end process of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in recording transactions Prepare and execute daily payment runs, ensuring all payments are accurate and in accordance with company policies and supplier terms Preparation and reconciliation of daily banking transactions Accurate coding of customer and vendor invoices to the finance system and banking platforms Maintain the prepayment and fixed asset register Arrange cash delivery to our cashing sites Reconciliation and journaling of corporate credit cards Assist with month end closing including end of month journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations Liaise with different departments to resolve accounts related queries Other ad hoc tasks as required. About You The talents you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field Intending to commence or working towards completing your CA/CPA qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the payments industry Basic understanding and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards Experience using NetSuite is highly regarded Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Meticulous attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
