The Role: An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced “hands-on” Operations Manager to join their growing food manufacturing & packaging operation based in Dudley Park. Our client is an Australian owned and operated company entering a critical growth phase and is committed to expanding its innovative range. You will be responsible for efficient operations of the production floor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement & safety and ensuring their manufacturing processes remain at the forefront of excellence. Benefits: • Excellent Work/Life Balance • Onsite carparking • Great Salary • Friendly team environment • Small production team • Monday to Friday only Criteria: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in FMCG industry • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production • Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams in a fast-paced production environment • Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people to initiate and deliver change • Strong knowledge of Food Safety practices, HACCP, and WH&S principles • Well-developed management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst working in high pressure situations • Experience in implementing continuous improvement practices • Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation • A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude • Demonstrated resilience, professionalism and work ethic. • Approachable, energetic and adaptable mindset Duties: • Oversee day-to-day operations • Implement & meet production schedules and quality standards • Ensure company policies and processes are in place and adhered to • Lead, motivate, and develop a small production team • Implement, maintain and train staff on best practices for production processes & equipment - fillers, capper, labellers and pouch machine • Support safety, hygiene, and environmental initiatives • Operate machinery and equipment to support food product manufacturing • Arrange equipment maintenance when required • Trouble shoot equipment malfunction • Ensure daily production outputs are achieved and customer requirements met • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations. • Maintain key relationships internally and externally Please contact Elisabetta at Eatkins@jobwire.com.au for any additional information. .
