Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager and working within a small team, your role will be varied and will evolve with room for growth and further development. You will be highly organised and self motivated. You will have well developed excel skills with a demonstrated ability to be responsible for and ensure a smooth operation of the day to day duties. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain accurate, relevant and timely financial records; • Preparation of monthly GST / BAS return and end of month reconciliations; • Review of trial balance to ensure expenses are accurately allocated to correct cost centres; • Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly profit forecasting completion; • Completion of month end and year end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, compliance and reporting within stipulated deadlines; • Project invoicing completed in line with project and/or contract timelines; • Preparation and update of project P&L on a weekly basis; • Reconciliation of systems with issues dealt with daily; • Completion of day-to-day transactional processing and financial reporting; • Facilitating recording, processing, reconciling and compliance reporting; • Manage the payroll function. Knowledge and Skills Required: • A tertiary qualification with a completed CPA or CA (or ready to undertake) • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role • MYOB experience preferred; • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel & MYOB) • General knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Corporations Act rules and regulations, with the ability to research and extend knowledge on regulations pertaining to specific EcoGroup circumstances • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills • Attention to detail You will be joining a dynamic team of smart, high performers with true enthusiasm and passion for what they do.
