About the Role As an Accounts Payable Officer at Certus Projects, you will be responsible for managing and processing the company’s payables efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships with our clients. Your role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices in accordance with company procedures. Verify accuracy of billing and ensure proper authorization. Payment Management: Schedule and execute timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Monitor and manage payment schedules to ensure adherence to due dates. Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements. Resolve discrepancies and ensure all transactions are properly recorded. Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors. Address and resolve any inquiries or issues related to payments and invoices. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payables transactions. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company policies and accounting standards. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses related to accounts payable. Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Assist with audits and other financial reviews as needed. Skills, Qualifications & Other Requirements Education: Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role. Experience with construction accounting software (e.g.,Buildsmart) is a plus. Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve issues related to accounts payable processes. Existing rights to work in Australia.
