We're hiring an experienced and driven finance manager to oversee the key finance and accounting functions within the company. So what is the role, exactly? We're looking for an experienced, driven and outcomes-focused Finance Manager to join our high performing finance team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and accounting functions of Bare. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior management be the right hand to the VP Finance in providing financial guidance to the organization. That makes sense, but what would my day to day look like? The finance team manage all aspects of the companies financial operations. Each day would involve: overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including management of offshore accounting and finance teams; managing accounts payable, and ensuring all vendors are paid (and invoices reconcile to supplier agreements and match our records); managing database reconciliations and solving any discrepancies; managing payroll in accordance with Australian laws and regulations developing monthly P&L’s, weekly flash reports providing detailed financial analysis to the founders and the broader leadership team; managing the monthly forecast update and comparison to actuals implementing robust financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations; preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis to provide insights into financial performance; developing and implementing internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial records and protect company assets; ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for BAS, PAYGW, FBT and ITR. The nature of startups mean you'll also get exposure and experience across a range of other finance (and quasi finance) functions - interacting deeply with cross functional teams to deliver business outcomes. Ok, sounds great. Who are you looking for? To excel in this role, you'll need: a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a CPA, CA or CMA certification or equivalent is highly preferred; at least 4-6 years of experience in Australian financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis; proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, as well as internal controls; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
